Day of Grace Ministries Have you heard of the dispensation of the Grace of God
(Ephesians 3:1,2)?
Have you understood the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the
revelation of the mystery (Romans
16:25)? "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). If Bible teachers and Pastors have not seen these things then they also need to understand them. Do not let their ignorance dissuade you from believing the Lord's revealed truth. News and Announcements
For God's Workmen:
Witness for Christ, and if necessary, use words. “…[that we] may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things” (Titus 2:10). I have talked to people who say witnessing is not their gift and so they don’t do it but I have a surprise for you, you are a witness whether you say anything or not! And people know what our witness is, they know if we are hypocrites or phonies or liars or lustful, they know. The last thing in the world that we should want to be is two faced pretend Christians. That is the worst. We have all been poor witnesses at one time or another but I pray we will want to be true and pure and genuine for Him. We owe Him our hearts and we owe a truthful walk to those around us who so desperately need to see people who live the truth they say they believe. We need to show them The Lord Jesus Christ in us and that He can and will deliver them from sin and despair even as He did us. But how horrible it is if we show them a false life, a negative testimony, as though we really can’t help them because we are just like all the other religious people and our faith in only skin deep. Brethren, may it not be so. Remember we are testifying something with just about every action we make. We are either a testimony to our dedication to the Savior or to our hypocrisy and lack of integrity.
Difficulties--why? Please consider that God wants to meet us in our difficulties or sorrow and to be the sustainer, the helper we need and the one we can and should always turn to. Sometimes (many times) He doesn’t take these difficult times, these feelings or sorrow away even though our prayers are fervent and believing but He always provides needed strength and grace. He will never give us more than we can handle in His strength, and even if we were to be delivered to death for Him, He will provide the needed strength. We should thank Him because we know he is working in our lives through all this, and we know the Word of God is effectually working in us when we believe therein lies the answers. We are called to suffer for His glory, but we know God's grace is sufficient for every situation. Sometimes we bring the suffering on ourselves (we all make lots of mistakes), and sometime not, but He will be in all of this for our good. 2 Corinthians 12: 9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12: 10: Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Only Scripture really has the answer, which in effect is the Lord saying: Trust me, trust my love, trust my way, and trust my heart; for my grace is sufficient for you. I think that this is the only real answer to why we often find ourselves in unusual circumstances, is so that we will find what so few ever find; peace and tender satisfaction in His arms. I am not saying I have arrived at some "level" for I feel so weak, but I see these things a few steps ahead and have felt them. It's kind of like once we get to the foothills of these "higher" things we are so much more trusting and content in Him. We feel like maybe He is accomplishing something is us that both allows us to be His friend and also to be prepared to help another. These times of trusting, laboring, suffering, hurting, and standing to His glory will soon be gone forever. Our privilege of giving these things to Him and going on to His honor and glory, things beloved of Him and profitable to those around us, these days once past will be gone forever. There will be no more such opportunities.... forever. May we see these things as the privilege they are to show our love and trust for Him and serve with joy until we see Him face to face!
The proof of him... But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel (Philippians 2:22) How many of us can be referred to like
this? If others knew what the Lord knows of our true heart and actions how
would we fare? I pray that each of us will seek this kind of heart and life,
to be more like Timothy, who was truly following our Lord!
