The Honor of His Name (by Sir Robert Anderson). A very fine booklet available at Grace Gospel Publishers in Denver, CO.

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am (John 13:13).

So, why do we so often refer to Him by the name of His humiliation, by His "first" name, "Jesus?" Though the writers of Scripture called Him "Jesus" in the narrative, when addressing Him personally none of His true followers ever addressed Him as anything but "Master" and "Lord," and He commended them for it. Please think about the preceding and in light of a correct understanding of Philippians 2:9-11, let's call Him by the name of His exaltation, "The Lord Jesus Christ," or "the Lord", or "the Lord Jesus," and let's teach the kiddies to say this right from the start!

You can trust Him, especially now!
He is able, He knows, and He cares; learning to trust God in difficult times.

The proof of him...

But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel (Philippians 2:22)

For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state
(Philippians 2:20).

How many of us can be referred to like this? If others knew what the Lord knows of our true heart and actions how would we fare? I pray that each of us will seek this kind of heart and life, to be more like Timothy, who was truly following our Lord!
No more wavering, no more fears, no more excuses, no more duality, no more wasted years.
